Social Experiment

Second stop; March 2020 - Coronavirus lockdown!
Quarantine; a word that many people weren’t aware of its existence! Suddenly this one word became a way of life for billions of people and we were all, of course, amongst those people! During this crazy time we were all locked in our houses but luckily having technology to entertain us. That was when Mrs Xenia asked us to try a challenge; No screens for 4 hours. The purpose of this challenge was to allow ourselves to feel bored so that we could learn how to get creative and find other ways to keep ourselves busy. Our generation is addicted to mobile phones, laptops and televisions that we forget to live and to spend some quality time with our families and friends!
I was super excited to try this challenge! It was Saturday and I began my day by going to the pool with my family. For the first few hours into this challenge I didn't get to feel bored because I was having so much fun swimming and spending time with my family, but, after going inside, it hit me; knowing that I couldn’t watch TV or listen to some music, I was just sitting on my bed staring at the wall waiting for an idea to strike my head... After drawing on my sketchbook for a little while, I got up and decided to bake some banana muffins with my dad... they turned out great!! After that I finished some school assignments I had to do for my art and french class. That was pretty much it! In conclusion, I loved this challenge and I will for sure try it again from time to time.
